Format
Twenty clubs play thirty-eight matches each — home and away against every other side in the division. Three points for a win, one for a draw, none for a defeat. No playoffs; the table at the final whistle decides every place.
Standings
We re-rank after every matchday. Goal difference is the headline tie-breaker, goals scored the next, and head-to-head applies only at points-equality — and only after a settled-aggregate pattern, not on goal-counting alone.
Recent reporting
Friday previews across all ten fixtures, Saturday match reports with named bylines, Sunday form-column. The transfer window digest runs in January and June.

The four things to read first
European places
The top four qualify for the Champions League. Fifth place takes the Europa League slot. The FA Cup winner gets a Europa Conference League place unless they’ve already qualified for the Champions League, in which case the league place shifts down the table.
Relegation
The bottom three drop into the Championship at the end of the season. Goal difference is the first tie-breaker at the foot of the table — same as at the top.
Fixture schedule
The fixture list is set in the summer, but live rescheduling is common for television. We publish a confirmed-fixtures table so a rescheduled match never appears at the original weekend’s slot.

Profit and Sustainability Rules apply across rolling three-year windows. The Premier League publishes the sanctions as they are issued, and we link the original release rather than the syndicated reports.
