Live Matches

Tonight’s and tomorrow’s fixtures, scoreboard state and kickoff times. The match page opens at kickoff with lineups, key moments and the final report.

How the live centre works

What you’ll see when play begins

1

Verified lineups an hour before kickoff

Names, formations and confirmed absences appear when the club sheet is filed and cross-checked.

2

Scoreboard updates in near-real time

The licensed feed pushes a structured score event every change of state; we surface it inside 2 minutes.

3

Timestamps and data source on every card

You see who supplied the data and the time of the last update. If the feed pauses, the timestamp pauses too.

4

Match report twenty minutes after full-time

The bylined report aggregates the key moments, with named scorers and the dismissal details where relevant.

Read before you challenge

If a score on the live centre reads 168/4 and a broadcaster disagrees, the licensed feed was live two minutes ago and theirs has just caught up. The update time underneath the score tells you when the live centre last refreshed. Read the reporting policy.

Common questions

Quick answers

What does “live” actually mean here?

A match appears in the live section as soon as play begins. Before kickoff, the fixture sits in the upcoming block with a scheduled time. The transition is automatic—we don’t manually update the live section.

Why isn’t my favourite tournament listed?

We focus on the sports and competitions where licensed feeds and correspondents are reliably available. Expansion is by sport first, then by competition inside that sport, on a research-and-budget basis.

Can I get live alerts for a team?

Once you sign in to the briefing, the matchday email flags the teams you follow. We don’t offer push notifications from the website itself.
